A Complex Mixed Use Development

Clients: Burghley Land Ltd and South Kesteven District Council

We have managed a large project team to prepare a major mixed use application for commercial development, housing and a retirement village across c15 Ha of land. The site is at the town of Stamford, which has the first ever designated Conservation Area in England, and is in the setting of major heritage assets including Burghley House and Park. The application was approved by the Planning Committee on 13 October 2021, and outline planning permission issued in February 2022 following detailed negotiation of a s106 agreement.

A Unique Home

Client: Mr and Mrs Millington

We were commissioned to provide planning advice in support of a proposal for a new dwelling of exceptional quality in a rural location, alongside a goat barn and the restoration of water meadows on existing farmland. We project managed the planning process and worked with architects, drainage engineers and landscape consultants to deliver the development. Planning permission was granted by the Local Planning Authority under delegated powers without the need for consideration by Planning Committee.

New Homes in Coastal Location

Client: Langton Homes

We secured planning permission for two dwellings within the grounds of Manor Farmhouse, within the Brancaster Conservation Area. The planning application was refused by Kings Lynn and West Norfolk Borough Council, and we submitted a successful appeal to the Secretary of State.

We have acted for Langton Homes on a number of occasions, from single plots to strategic land promotion.

Meadow Rise, Swansea

Client: Life Property Group

During 2021, we helped our client achieve planning permission for housing on a site with a chequered planning history, where means of access was problematic and had resulted in a previous refusal. We worked closely with our client and with the consultant team to unlock the potential of the site.
